“I was not someone who should have the life I have now, and yet I do. I was sitting in the chair you are literally sitting in right now and I just whispered, ‘Why not me?’”
This typography print was designed from Mindy Kaling's convocation speech where she covers how she made her own damn opportunities to get where she is now. She often speaks about being a woman of colour with the confidence of a white man (ladies, we all need to get on that level) and how representation matters. This ‘business bitch’ is really out here doing the most. She’s paved the way for so many of us who have felt underrepresented, so that’s why I gave her recent commencement address a re-listen and sketched the highlights 👆🏼
