Sylvia Wong

I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Sylvia, a Toronto girl who loves her city as much as Drake does. When I’m not working at my day job as a Marketing Director, I’m moonlighting as a Calligraphy Artist.

As a Calligrapher, I’m mainly known for my modern and romantic style that is sought after by high end, luxury brands. Primarily I offer my services as an Event Calligrapher doing live, on-site calligraphy for clientele or at PR activations for VIP guests.

I also love to share my passion for calligraphy. I teach calligraphy classes in Toronto and have started to offer advanced Online Courses for Artists who want to start their own lucrative businesses.

Most people know me from a certain viral project that I founded in 2016. I started teaching myself calligraphy (and practicing 2-4 hours daily) on a mission to paint my favourite leather jacket for my wedding in June 2016. It was a hit! After the wedding day, I didn’t have much use for a jacket with “Just Married” written on the back, so I posted it on a local Toronto trading site. There was so much demand for it that I ended up keeping the jacket to rent out every weekend for just a bottle of wine. As a Digital Marketer, I have experience marketing in fashion, lifestyle, wedding industries and more as I’m currently working at an agency with diverse clientele. My specialty lies in brand identity and creating authentic, engaging marketing initiatives, as well as using Instagram as a lead generating machine. I stay ahead of the curve by listening to every podcast ever.

I love public speaking and have done a few keynote presentations and panels on the topics of side hustling, social media for business and personal branding. Reach out if you’re planning an event that I could be a good fit for!
